Esprit de Merci
Kelly Marchal founded Esprit de Merci in 2017, inspired by her work with great teams and her experience in leading through change.
Esprit de Merci translates to a “spirit of gratitude”, grounded in the belief that the engagement and development of leaders and teams is the most powerful path to growth and financial sustainability, ultimately enabling individuals to contribute the best of themselves and organizations to realize purpose and impact. She partners with clients through customized, strategic and holistic approaches that may include organizational design and strategy, individual coaching, workshop design and facilitation, leadership development programs and / or speaking engagements.
Prior to this, she spent 24 years in management and executive roles in finance and human resources with Overnite and UPS. Kelly’s financial leadership experience includes annual and strategic planning and analysis and organizational restructuring initiatives, as well as acquisition and initial public offering. She made a shift to human resources in 2005 and spent the next several years in executive leadership assignments in Richmond, Brussels and Atlanta, including leading global strategic initiatives.
Her education includes a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Virginia Tech, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Richmond, study with INSEAD, coaching certification (CPC) through iPEC, and certification in the Fundamentals of Working Visually.
Kelly volunteers with Wellspring Living, and has served in a number of capacities with the United Way of Greater Atlanta, including chairing and moderating its Leading a Life of Purpose event. In Richmond, Virginia, she served on the board of the READ Center and the United Way and was a charter member of the Women’s Leadership Council.
Kelly has been married to her husband Matt, a family physician, for 26 years. They have two cats and two nieces, enjoy travel and the pursuit of learning as a lifelong experience.
